Right-Brain Activation

The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant.  We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.

When you’ve exhausted the intelligence of the left brain, right is all that’s left. This is a prototypical Right Brain remark, failing to acknowledge polarity or division, much less grammar, as it operates entirely in the unlimited field of oneness and just knows what it knows.

For incredible insight into the right and left brain, see this video by Jill Bolte Taylor, a brain researcher who remained conscious during her own stroke in her left brain, and was able to recover and describe her journey. Learn about what she discovered and calls “An idea worth spreading” and ponder her challenge, “Which do you choose; and when?”

Our Inner Oracle, Visioning, even channeling Sound, are all powered by the brilliance of our under-activated Right Brain. These skills, like the other qualities of Right Brain thinking, are innate in us, although often dormant. Our current culture requires and rewards Left Brain functioning far more than right. As with so many topics, the best outcome is when we include perspectives from all the players, in this case both halves of our brains! See the table below for a quick checklist of the different styles of thinking.

I’ve developed some exercises and meditations to awaken our Right Brain and to integrate it into our daily life. These are often included in sessions, events, and speaking engagements, as well as in Newsletter articles. Sign up for my Ping! Newsletter for upcoming articles on activating your Right Brain so you can be in your right mind and have access to all of yourself!
